This home, designed for a young couple, is sited on a 30’ x 100’ foot lot. Aside from satisfying the couple’s interior space plan requirements, the elevation’s double-height box-bay, exaggerated shutters and tricolor scheme create an interesting composition.
Two stepped balconies, with Spiderweb details, expand the living areas and capture Southeast breezes for natural ventilation. Stacked decks and a ground floor patio at the rear also expand and enhance the outdoor experience.
To us, just as much thought and creativity go into small home design as large home design.
