Basement Redux

This conversion sheds conventional notions about what's possible in basement design and remodeling.  When complete, the new space will feature two bedrooms, a full bath, ample storage, a kitchenette and entertainment area.  A cool schema of light color values and reflective finishes infuse the space with brightness and sparkle.

Realigning the ductwork and leaving it exposed, along with the steel beam, column, floor joists and epoxy floor lend the space an industrial flair, complementing the family's Mid-Century furniture and artwork.    Grouping the furnishings adds flexibility to the space, facilitating multiple uses from studying to relaxing in front of the linear fireplace, watching a movie and eating popcorn.
